DAMASCUS, SYRIA (08:10 PM) – The Syrian Arab Army has taken control of the town of Hazzah following Friday’s agreement with rebel forces in the area that saw the militants retreat from the area.

Video footage shows the arrival of Syrian forces in the liberated town, under cheers and welcome of the local population, many of whom had been living under rebel control since 2013.

Last Friday, an agreement was reached between the Syrian government forces and the rebel militants, in which the latter agreed to evacuate the areas of East Ghouta under their occupation, and to turn over the towns of Jawbar, Ayn Tarma, Hazzah, Zamalka and Irbin to Syrian control. At least 7000 rebel fighters are expected to take part in the evacuation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

La prensa Occidental no mostrará esta noticia, con retirarse los terroristas del lugar, Damasco capital ya estará seguro y la economía Siria empezará a florecer.

We can see that this demonstration is not true ( ancient jihadists).
In opposite with a lot of people liberated from the Ghouta.
