US-guided missile destroyer USS Donald Cook laid anchor in Ukraine’s port of Odessa on Monday.
According to the United States Navy, “USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) is scheduled to conduct maritime security operations as part of NATO’s ongoing Operation Atlantic Resolve.”
The ship will stay in the port city until Wednesday, having entered the Black Sea through the Bosphorus Strait on 19 February.
It is the second time this year the Donald Cook has entered the Black Sea. At the end of January, the missile destroyer docked in Georgia’s port of Batumi for five days.
The USS Donald Cook’s home port is Naval Station Rota in Spain.
