BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:10 P.M.) – The U.S. Air Force will deploy its F-35 stealth jets to Israel in order to maintain a strong presence in the region, the Israeli publication 9TV reported, as quoted by the Russian publication Avia.Pro on Sunday.

“The Americans will place a huge number of hangars for their F-35 fighters on the territory of the Jewish state. We are talking about hundreds of combat aircraft, which creates a certain threat to Russian military facilities in the Middle East,” Avia.Pro said.

“Aircraft hangars are being erected urgently throughout Israel, most likely intended to  park the latest all-weather fifth-generation fighter F-35i (Adir). The U.S. Department of Defense is responsible for the project. The total area of the hangars under construction is 252,000 square meters,” 9TV reported, as quoted by Avia.Pro.

If true, this move will be a power play by Washington against the Russian Armed Forces in the region, who currently maintain one of the largest bases inside Syria.

“On the other hand, experts believe that it is exclusively about strengthening the U.S. military influence in the region with the aim of confronting Iran, which is already actively deploying its military facilities in Syria,” Avia.Pro added.

Neither the U.S. nor Israel has commented on these latest claims.

More likely the hangars are being built to house the un-flyable 747 Max. More US junk.

There is no 747 Max and never was. There is a 737max. 343 were delivered to customers and 300 are in storage for 2 crashed… To give you a little idea, for 16 Tu-144 built by the Soviets, two crashed. OK, it might be a bad example : let’s look at widely spread Tu-154 as, with up to 180 seat, it’s close to the 737max 153-204 seats… On 1026 Tu-154 built, more than 30 crashed and the model was never grounded for months in order to deal with the safety issues of the aircraft! Latest crash was 25 December 2016,… Read more »

Oh, I am sure, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Russia, and even China will look forward to testing their best long range Radars, be they Ground , Air or Space based. Perhaps Syria can even lease an old Airbase or two to China for closeup selfies with Invisable F-35, while everyone will be being sure the Famious high flying Syrian Buzzards are well feed.

Avia.Pro.ru should stop navel gazing and biases : Russia has barely the 12th of US military budget. US don’t give a fück about Russian presence! Hmeimim might receive 2-3 squadrons at best, nothing impressive at all! Sorry for Russian fanboys but to give you a little idea, with NATO-countries commitment into having 2% of GDP spent in the military by 2023, even France or Germany each will have a bigger military spending than Russia and summed populations of both is higher than the Russian one while the summed GDP is 4.3x the Russian one. Same for the nuclear treaties :… Read more »

Don’t worry for russian millitary budget. They don’t have over 800 military bases outside.

Even with the bases, USA still has 6.5x Russia’s military budget 🙂
Russia packs a budget pretty close to the Indian or French one, nowhere near the US one, not even the Chinese which is about thrice as big or the cumulated EU one which is 4x as big.
I don’t worry about the Russian military, that’s a fact: they’re nowhere near from the USSR’s power. In fact, the best move Russia could do would be entering the EU, bt they’d need to stop being a quasi-dictatorship first. I’d exchange the UK for Russia any day.

Btw, you are very arrogant when talking about Russians. If the USA really want to fight Russians in Syria, then you should expect nuclear weapons at the border of Israel. I’m not sure that you want that scenario in any case.

The US are not willing to fight the Russians in Syria : ignoring them is enough : their force is pretty irrelevant : it’s not even the half of a super-carrier capability. Russia is not a problem for USA, the problems in the region are Turkey, Qatar and Iran. +++ “then you should expect nuclear weapons at the border of Israel. I’m not sure that you want that scenario in any case.” => Not my problem if Assad wants the Isaiah prophecy on the destruction of Damascus ending becoming reality. The only point with Israel is that their enemies are… Read more »

And look how they changed the course of the war with their very limited, yet highly effective presence. So much for your beloved Oded Yinon Plan.

– The limited Russian presence is actually a proof how irrelevant nonetheless the Syrian militaries, but also IRGC or Hezbollah are. Moreover it really ruins the theory that US were into kicking Assad out since they had 4 years to do an air campaign which would have demolished Syrian forces, dooming the regime the same way it was done with Gaddafi. – Seems the limited presence is not so effective : after 4 years, Idlib and Afrin are still not cleansed, now jihadists are also entering NE Syria, thanks to the new found Putin/Erdogan friendship. You should really ask yourself… Read more »

Call me when you’ll have something solid rather than long time debunked conspiracy theories and when you’ll be ready to discuss subjects seriously rather than doing stupid anti-Semitic rants which are totally out of subject. The point here is, if the Yankees build a huge base in Israel, it’s NOT to confront Russian presence which is simply irrelevant for USA, in fact, Russians would even collaborate with USA for some sanctions relief or other advantages… Let’s face reality : Russia is NOT the USSR, it’s economy is between Spain and South-Korea and Russia’s military weight is not really a lot… Read more »
