Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan sent Russia’s Vladimir Putin a message on Sunday expressing a wish for an improvement in ties between their countries, Turkish presidential sources said, an attempt to repair relations after Turkey downed a Russian jet last year.

In the message, which was sent to Putin for Russia’s national day, Erdogan said he wished for the relations “to rise to the deserved level”, the presidential sources said on Tuesday.

Saudis, Israel and now Turkey…. I don’t see them jumping ship any time soon, but they surely want to have other options than the failing US empire. Right now the international markets are trying out if the Yen could work as a currency when the dollar and euro fails. An ageing country with a shrinking economy should be the safe-keeper of the world wealth? And still it seems better than the dollar right now. People will just go to gold, because central banks can’t be trusted. And then USA will be history because they can’t pay for the Federal government… Read more »

Saudis offered Putin a 14bln$ bribe to not intervene in Syria…
He refused… I think I’m more vicious than Putin : I’d have taken the bribe then… Intervened anyway 🙂

Possibly for Russia to allow Turkeys f16s inside Syria first for operation against isis which then will be used for the awaited land op buffer zone plan. That would empower erdogan for a very long time internal politics of Turkey as well as turn tides for fsa and nusra types.usa ofcourse tries to convince Russia as always nothing will happen and we shall see how long it takes for a new “deal” to convince putin.

Nope : Russia is not considering nuking Turkey at all : he’s just realizing that the oil at 15/20$ the barrel is about to end… With both Russia and E.U. telling him “f**k off”, he’s screwed…
