Fresh scuffles erupted between Israeli military and protesters in Ramallah on Wednesday, a day after a Palestinian man was reportedly killed by Israeli forces near the city.
Israeli military forces fired tear gas at protesters who set trash bins and tires on fire to disperse the gas and hurled back stones and gas canisters with slingshots.
Nineteen-year-old Omar Amin Abu Laila was reportedly shot dead by Israeli forces in the city of Abwein near Ramallah on Tuesday, after resisting arrest. Abu Laila, was accused of carrying out an attack in the settlement of Ariel on Sunday, which killed one Israeli soldier and one rabbi.
According to a statement from the Israeli military, two more Palestinians were killed late on Tuesday, after being caught allegedly hurling explosive devices towards soldiers who were guarding Joseph’s Tomb in the West Bank city of Nablus.
