BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) thwarted another jihadist infiltration attempt in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate on Thursday.
According to a military communique, the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham attempted to infiltrate the Syrian Arab Army’s positions near the small town of Taybat Al-Imam.
The communique said that the Syrian Army was able to beat back the jihadist attackers, while also killing and wounding several members of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham earlier today.
In response to this infiltration attempt, the Syrian Arab Army unleashed a barrage of surface-to-surface missiles towards the jihadist defenses near the southern axis of the Idlib province.
As of now, the two sides are trading hostilities along the Hama-Idlib axis, with the Syrian Arab Army doing most of the attacking.
