BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:45 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) was filmed this week striking the jihadist mountain fortress in the northeastern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.
In the short video released by the Arabic-language channel of Sputnik News, the Syrian Arab Army can be seen striking the jihadist defenses at the town of Kabani, which is expected to be their future target.
Kabani, which is located in the northeastern region of Latakia, has long been a target for the Syrian Army and their allies.
As shown in the video above, Russian military aircraft can be seen stalking the town as they provide coordinates to the Syrian Arab Army.
In particular, the Russian military aircraft in the film above is an Su-24 jet; it was one of the warplanes that was shot down by Turkey in late 2015.
