BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) unleashed a big assault across the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate this afternoon.
Using their MLRS launcher, the Syrian Army fired several surface-to-surface missiles towards Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s defenses near the key town of Khan Sheikhoun.
Video below shows a field of smoke in Khan Sheikhoun after the Syrian Arab Army fired several missiles and artillery shells towards Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions:
The Syrian Army’s attack was in retaliation for Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s recent assault on the large city of Masyaf in the western part of the Hama Governorate.
In addition to their strikes on southern Idlib, the Syrian Army also targeted Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s defenses near the town of Saraqib.
This assault on the Saraqib countryside was heavily concentrated on Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s pathway to the Aleppo Governorate.
