A UN investigation in conjunction with the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons determined that the Syrian government were responsible for chlorine gas attacks in 2014 and 2015. This has been rejected by both Syria and Russia.

“These conclusions lack any physical evidence, whether by samples or attested medical reports that chlorine was used,” said Syrian Ambassador Bashar al-Ja’afari after a closed-door UN Security Council meeting over the report on Tuesday.

The report was “totally based on witnesses presented by terrorist armed groups,” he added.

Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin also stated that he had “very serious questions” over the findings and urged investigators to collect more information.

“There are a number of questions which have to be clarified before we accept all the findings of the report,” he said.

The United Kingdom and France immediately sought for sanctions against the Syrian government, but Churkin stressed, “There is nobody to sanction in the report… It contains no names, no specifics, no fingerprints.”

“Clearly there is a smoking gun. We know that chlorine was most likely used, but there are no fingerprints on the gun,” he added.

Wrong!
Every vote counts AND 5 countries can veto decisions. In other term, let’s be clear : if USA pushes a decision you consider dirty and Russia or China don’t veto it, it’s that they agree! They will just abstention to go on looking nice for their usual economical partners that openly hate the US but they won’t veto the resolution too so they de facto agree!

It seems like you know very little about UN. Do you know who has built the UN building in NY? Find out who was the New York city major at that time an what other important buildings were built and by whom and then you will understand hopefully what UN stands for. A little tip to you both persons have been members and the funding fathers of CFR. Do your homework properly.before you pull the trigger right. Above gentlemen was trying to educate you and you should have being appreciative of it.

Es una patraña motada por los eu y sus terroristas. Los eu y sus aliados quieren acabar con el estado sirio, quieren dividir Siria en su plan geopolítico de dominación mundial.

UN is a extension of the US foreign department. Don’t trust them at all.
