Russian frigate Admiral Makarov anchored in the harbour of Sevastopol after a four-month mission near the Syrian coast on Tuesday.
Frigate crew completed naval tasks in the Mediterranean Sea waters near Syria since heading south in November last year.
An official ceremony was held to greet sailors.
“Our ship repeatedly faced NATO ships during its tasks in Mediterranean waters. But everything was under the international naval law,” said Second-Rank Captain Grigori Breev.
