BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:10 P.M.) – For the second time this week, the Russian Air Force has unleashed a powerful attack against the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham inside the Idlib Governorate.
According to a Syrian military source in the nearby Hama Governorate, the Russian Air Force heavily bombed Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, today, at the towns of Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa in the Idlib countryside.
The source said the Russian Air Force conducted more than 15 airstrikes on the two towns, causing significant damage to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s newly established bases.
Prior to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s takeover of Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa, the two towns were populated with more than 20,000 Syrian Shiites.
However, due to constant attacks by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies, a deal was made to evacuate all of the people from Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa to the government areas outside of the Idlib Governorate.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham would then quickly swoop into both Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa and declare their authority over the two towns.
