Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stated that “ISIS or terrorism is not defeated yet,” during an address to the Munich Security Conference on Sunday.

“We have heard, in the last couple of days, people are talking about terrorism being defeated, ISIS being defeated,” stated Al Thani, who is also Qatar’s deputy prime minister.

“We can’t, we have to put it in a way that there are territories being liberated but ISIS or terrorism is not defeated yet,” he stressed.

He explained, “the ideology is still there, the people are still there, and the causes of recruitment are still valid.”

The Qatari foreign minister’s remarks follow US President Donald Trump’s announcement that he may soon declare the defeat of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL). “The Caliphate is ready to fall,” Trump wrote in a Tweet on Saturday.

Al Thani also denounced what he saw as an inadequate level of dialogue among countries in the Middle East. “Our regional security is under threat, and there is no dialogue between the countries, there is no coordination, there is no cooperation between any of us,” he stated.

Mr. Al-thani. As long as you are financing terrorists including the white helmets, I agree that Terrorism is not yet defeated because of the reckless of their financial sponsors like Qatar.

This is obvious. Talibans even have an ’embassy’ in Qatar… Ossama himself once declared that Qaeda’s main source of revenues was Qatar-Charity. Charity organisations are undercover ways to fund jihadis while al-Jazeera has became jihad-TV, offering the roaches a widespread media where they can do their propaganda. Qatar ends with barely no troubles thanks to their huge briberies, gigantic military purchases… Gosh, what’s the point having 315k ‘citizens’, an only 10k manpower army -incl 2k in the air-force- and buying 36 Rafales, 36 F-15s and 24 Typhoons to complete your 12 Mirage-2000, added to AH-64, C-17 etc?!!! You need at… Read more »

Qatar & Saudi Arabia have funded so many terror groups that have wrecked havoc in Syria & Iraq. It is not too long that this Shitlamic Jihadi cancer will also spread to Qatar & Saudi. Qatar too should suffer for all its sins. As for “there is no coordination, there is no cooperation between any of us” there won’t be as each country is ME is trying to destroy the other in the name of Islam.
