BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:45 A.M.) – The UAE-backed troops launched a massive offensive against the Houthi forces in western Yemen on Saturday.

According to reports from western Yemen, the UAE-backed Giants Brigade, stormed the Wadi Maqsab area of western Ta’iz on Saturday, seizing several points from the Houthi troops in the area.

Backed by Saudi Coalition airstrikes, the Giants Brigade managed to seize all of the Wadi Maqsab area after the Houthi forces made the decision to withdraw in order to avoid any more casualties.

The Houthi forces will likely launch a counter-attack in the coming hours as they look to reclaim the territory they lost in the Ta’iz Governorate this weekend.

This is what the Houthis get for threatening direct attacks on UAE.

Bah, they just get low intensity warfare, the same kind applied on ISIS. The result? Long time hardship destroys popular support while Houthi forces are slowly but surely bled from all sides.

And population will be happy them being gone. Any way, Yemen is a democracy and Houthis did a coup. They have zero constitutional legitimacy, even if Yemen’s democracy has flaws.

Moreover, they’re proxies for a foreign power, in other terms : traitors to the country. Moreover, by assassinating Saleh, they lost the support of the National Guard…

which has switched sides since. Being unable to impose a NFZ due to outdated SAMs, moreover in low numbers, Houthis’ prospectives and future are grim.

Especially when you consider the UAE+Saudi aerial assets.
