El día jueves el Ministro Sirio para el Parlamento Sadji Taama informo al periódico ruso Izvestia que el Presidente Sirio Bashar Al-Assad autorizo al gobierno Iraki a bombardear al Estado Islámico (ISIS) dentro de territorio Sirio.

Así mismo Sajdi Taama dijo al periódico Izvestia que “Nuestros países enfrentan una amenaza en común. Ambos Iraq y Siria se encuentran combatiendo a los extremistas de Daesh. Hemos estado coordinando nuestros esfuerzos anti-terroristas por años y semejantes declaraciones no hubieran sido hechas si Damasco no hubiera aprobado que la aviación Iraki realizara sus operaciones dentro de territorio Sirio. Espero también que los aviones Sirios comiencen en breve a perseguir a los terroristas en Irak cerca de la frontera Siria”.

Los comentarios de Taama llegan solo un día después que el Primer Ministro Iraki Hadi Al-Abadi dijera a periodistas durante una conferencia de prensa que Siria había autorizado los ataques contra ISIS dentro de su territorio.

La persecución y ataque dentro de ambas fronteras es necesaria dada la retirada de Mosul que han emprendido gran parte de los terroristas de ISIS con rumbo a Deir ez-Zor en Siria, según el miembro del Parlamento.
