Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that his country’s policy is geared not to let Iran establish itself in Syria.

“Our policy is unchanged: to undermine the establishment of Iran in Syria and to strike at anyone who tries to harm us,” Netanyahu, who is currently on a visit to Chad, wrote on his Twitter account following reports about Israeli air force delivering a strike on targets in neighboring Syria.

Earlier in the day, Russia’s national defense management center reported that Syrian air defense systems had repelled an attack by Israeli F-16 fighter jets at the Duwali international airport in the southeast of Damascus.

Seven missiles were downed. Still earlier, SANA news agency reported about the Israeli air attack.

Let’s see if I can get away with the reverse ‘rights t exist’ argument.

‘“Our policy is unchanged: to undermine the establishment of Israel in ………’

It might cause crocodile tears

Who struck from Syria to harm Israel? Nobody.

So Israel struck on Syria with absolutely no plausible justification..

You forget the 3 decades+ of proxy warfare through Hezbollah, Hamas and some others. Go read the Hague Convention about it. Wouldn’t there be huge businesses ongoing and some weakness (or corruption) in some of our EU politicians, we should also go after IRGC, Hezbollah as much as going after e.g. Qatar or some other states. We both know that there is no terrorist group not being backed/funded/armed by a state if not several. Even Daesh wasn’t self funded, even if they gave this impression for a while but anyone digging will find circumstantial if not hard evidences leading to… Read more »

, And You forget that currently and for at least 7 years Syria was not doing any proxy warfare against Israel. While Israel has publicly admitted that she supported terrorists in the Syrian Golan area and probably also the South Front not only with humanitarian aid but also with ammo and weapons. Go read A/RES/2625(XXV) about it. Plus Israel has openly attacked Syria from the air.

Iran and IRGC has nothing to do with Israeli attacks on Syria. Without UNSC mandate we in the EU will not go after anyone. Period.

, yes we both know that weapons are expensive. And private persons cannot fund war.

Evidence for knowingly supplying IS with arms and ammo etc. leads to the US and their allies mostly Turkey. Go read CAR report on IS arms. http://www.conflictarm.com/download-file/?report_id=2568&file_id=2574

And financing leads to private and not so private Gulf charities. During the Syrian war it certainly was not Iran.
