BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The Kurdish-led “Wrath of Olives” operation room announced on Monday that their forces had killed three members of the Turkish military in eastern Aleppo today.
According to the official social media account of the Wrath of Olives operation room, their fighters detonated a roadside bomb while a Turkish military convoy was moving through the village of Ajil near the key town of Al-Bab.
The Kurdish group said that at least three Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of the attack, including two military police officers.
The Turkish military has yet to comment on these recent claims; however, the social media account of the Wrath of Olives released a number of photos of the alleged Turkish soldiers killed during the operation.
The Wrath of Olives operation room was formed shortly after the Turkish-backed Euphrates Shield took control of the Afrin region in northwestern Aleppo.
Since then, the Wrath of Olives operation room and the Afrin Liberation Forces have wreaked havoc on the Turkish and rebel troops in northwest Aleppo.
