DAMASCUS, SYRIA (12:30 A.M)- Armed Israeli prison guards assaulted several Palestinian political prisoners, this Monday, according to reports.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society reported, this Monday, that Israeli forces had raided the cells of Palestinian political prisoners in the Rimon military prison.

Israeli guard forces reportedly entered section 4 of the Rimon prison, proceeding then to attack Palestinian prisoners.

Last week, the Ofer military prison, as well as a military prison in the Jericho area, were also subjected to large surges of Israeli guard violence. Hundreds were reportedly injured during the unprovoked attacks, with tear gas, rubber bullets and other means used to physically assault prisoners.

On 20 August 2014, a Hamas official Salah al-Arouri, who had been publicly identified as the mastermind of the operation several days after the kidnapping, on 19 June, said… Read more »
