DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:20 P.M.) – In its latest propaganda video, ISIS released 17 minutes of mostly battlefield footage showing deadly skirmishes with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its paramilitary allies in the desert of Deir Ezzor Province.
Although much of the footage can be traced several months back, the Islamic State revealed it was still a force to be reckoned with, signified by dozens of military vehicles and loads of heavy weaponry being featured in the video.
Starting off with an initial claim of conspiracy between the US, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Iran, ISIS showed off genuine battle footage from southwestern Deir Ezzor, including Go-Pro material from Iraqi volunteer pro-government troops that were killed-in-action after ISIS members overran their positions.
