On Sunday, the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh Al-Izza faction fired an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) towards a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) vehicle in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate.

According to reports, Jaysh Al-Izza fighters fired a U.S.-made anti-tank missile at a Syrian Army pick-up truck near the Zaleen Checkpoint.

As a result of this attack on Sunday, Jaysh Al-Izza managed to destroy the Syrian Army’s pick-up truck (video below):

This attack by Jaysh Al-Izza on Sunday marked the first time this year that they have fired a U.S.-made missile at the Syrian Arab Army in northern Syria.

In a recent statement, Jaysh Al-Izza called on their allies to assist them in northern Syria because they were running out of weapons and warned that if the Syrian military launched a new offensive in northern Hama that they would be unable to fend off the attack.

However, since making this statement, Jaysh Al-Izza has launched several attacks against the Syrian military with their artillery launchers and rockets.
