BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 A.M.) – Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham busted an Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) inside the western part of the Idlib Governorate on Wednesday.

The HTS operation reportedly targeted an ISIS hideout that was located inside the small town of Darkoush.

As a result of the HTS operation, the jihadist group was able to kill at least two members of the Islamic State, while also capturing two others.

According to HTS activists, at least two of the Islamic State fighters had recently fled the Euphrates River Valley and made their way to the Idlib Governorate.

These two Islamic State fighters managed to evade capture by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in rural Deir Ezzor and made the long journey to Idlib.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
