BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) – The Houthi forces allegedly struck a Saudi arms depot inside the Najran Airport on Tuesday, causing a powerful explosion that was followed by the outbreak of fire.
According to the Houthi-run Masirah TV, their forces launched a drone strike on the Najran Airport in the southern region of Saudi Arabia.
The Houthi drones allegedly bombed a Saudi arms depot that was located inside the airport. The Saudi Ministry of Defense denies that the Houthi forces hit an arms depot.
Saudi government spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said the Houthis “had tried to target” a civilian site in Najran, adding that there would be a “strong deterrent” to such attacks.
No airstrikes have been reported thus far, but it is expected that the Saudi Coalition will issue a powerful response to this Houthi attack.
