BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:25 P.M.) – The Houthi forces announced on Wednesday evening that they had targeted the Saudi Aramco oil refinery inside the kingdom’s capital city.
According to the official media wing of the Houthi forces, their rocket battalion targeted the Saudi Aramco oil refinery using an armed drone to bomb this imperative economic site in Riyadh.
While Saudi authorities have yet to comment on the claim, Aramco said its fire control teams and the Saudi civil defence had contained a limited fire that erupted in the early evening in a storage containers at the refinery.
Saudi Arabia has repeatedly come under attacks launched by the Houthi forces who continue to oppose the Saudi-led military intervention in Yemen.
Earlier in July, Saudi forces managed to intercept a Badr-1 ballistic missie launched by Houthi forces at the Saudi city of Jizan.
