Los marinos sirios, apoyados por las Fuerzas de Defensa Nacional (FDN) y el Partido Social Nacionalista Sirio (PSNS), lanzaron un contrataque contra los rebeldes yihadistas en el norte de la provincia de Latakia el miércoles pasado que se concentró en recapturar todos los puntos perdidos esta semana.

Segun un corresponsal de Al-Masdar en el norte de Latakia, las fuerzas armadas sirias lograron recapturar ‘Ayn Quntara, ‘Ard Al-Wata, Tal Risha y Tal Abu Sa’ad en Jabal al-Akrad despues de violentos enfrentamientos con el Partido Islámico de Turkmenistán, Jabhat a-Nusra (al-Qaeda en Siria) y Harakat Ahrar al-Sham.

El corresponsal de campo agregó que el único punto que queda por recuperar es Tal Malk en Jabal al-Akrad; sin embargo, al margen de esto, las fuerzas armadas sirias han logrado revertir por completo la ofensiva yihadista en el norte de Latakia.

Ademas de recuperar estos sitios, las fuerzas gubernamentales eliminaron una significativa cantidad de rebeldes yihadistas durante su contrataque, incluyendo varios combatientes extranjeros de ascendencia uigur.

Ambas partes se encuentran actualmente efectuando disparos de proyectiles de artillería en Tal Malk, pero ningún combate ha sido reportado esta mañana.
