BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 P.M.) – U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday that it is time for his nation to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights region.

After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!

Trump’s comments come just a week after U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham made a visit to the occupied Golan Heights region with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Graham said he would be pushing for U.S. Congress to pass a bill that would recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

Despite Trump’s comments, the United Nations still holds Israel’s presence in the Golan Heights as an ‘occupation’, while also recognizing that it to be Syrian territory.

  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Kushner has his fist up his F-i-L so far that tRump appears to be a dummy. No humor there. Things have never been so obvious.

Since when does Trump’s will overrule UNSC res 242 and UNSC res. 497, adopted unanimously on 17 December 1981, that declared that the Israeli Golan Heights Law, which annexed the Golan Heights is “null and void and without international legal effect”.

As at present more than half of the population, incl the local Druse, hold Israeli passports, it might be a good idea. Being under Israeli control, has spared thdcrehion a lot of grief and devastation.
