BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) unleashed a new round of airstrikes over the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate this evening.
According to a military source in nearby Mhardeh, the Syrian Air Force launched a number of airstrikes over the towns of Al-Latamnah and Kafr Zita, targeting Jaysh Al-Izza’s bases and trenches.
The source said the Syrian Air Force launched these airstrikes in response to the artillery shells that were fired by Jaysh Al-Izza towards the government’s positions on Tuesday.
Since the end of February, the Syrian Air Force has been intensifying their strikes over northwestern Syria.
This move by the Syrian Air Force comes at the same time that the Syrian Arab Army builds up their troops in both northern Hama and southern Idlib.
