BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 A.M.) – Bosnia-Herzegovina is the latest country to agree to take back their nationals that have been captured inside Syria.
According to Bosnia’s Security Minister Dragan Mektic, two ISIS fighters from Bosnia-Herzegovina will be brought back from Syria.
While the names of the Islamic State fighters were not released, Mektic said in a statement on March 9th that the Bosnian nations had been fighting inside Syria for several years prior to their capture by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Officials said the two are expected to be transferred to Bosnia by the end of March.
They said one of the men went to Syria and joined in 2013. He married there and is now the father of two children.
