La Armada rusa disparó ayer varios misiles de crucero desde la costa de Latakia apuntando a posiciones de Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, antiguo Frente al-Nusra y filial de al-Qaeda en Siria, en la parte norte de esta provincia montañosa.

Según los informes, los misiles de crucero rusos atacaron varias posiciones a lo largo del eje de Latakia-Idlib, causando daños significativos a las defensas yihadistas cerca de la fortaleza de Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham de Jisr al-Shughour.

Según una fuente local en Latakia, el impacto de los misiles de crucero se pudieron escuchar desde lugares tan lejanos como en la capital de la provincia y ciudad meridional de Jableh, donde se encuentra la Fuerza Aérea de Rusia.

Este potente ataque de la Armada de Rusia fue en respuesta al asalto con misiles en la base aérea militar Hmaymim que perpetraron los yihadistas a principios de esta semana.
