DAMASCUS, SYRIA (12:30 A.M)- According to a new report, 218 Palestinian political prisoners have died in Israeli prisons due to violence and negligence.

A statement released by the ‘Palestinian Prisoners Society’ (PPS), states that 218 political prisoners held in Israeli military prisons have been killed, primarily due to medical negligence.

Additionally outlined in the statement was the 750 prisoners, who are currently sick, 200 of which are seriously ill.

Fares Baroud, a 51 years old prisoner from Gaza city, died due to medical negligence after serving 28 years in jail on Tuesday.

“Israeli authorities are fully responsible for the death of Baroud whose deteriorating health condition has been deliberately negligcted,” the PPS said.
